Hi Radar,

I think regards balance, you are right on the mark. I personally have never managed to get 50mph out of my push bike (in fairness my 90 only manages only 25 up hill)

that in mind I think I'll stick to jeans and boots on the bike.

But again riding through town in slow traffic (I can only imagine what it's like in London) I think lighter gear would be essential. Getting to hot can only mean rash decisions and more of a chance of using the overly warm crash protection...
