I did a bit of Facebook research, and managed to get a message off to his son.

It seems poor Klippy has been in hospital for some time, with some health issues.

He said he had seen his dad this afternoon, and it seems he is 'on the up'

He said he hopes David will be home before too long and meeting up with us, and back on CubChat.

He said he will let him know we were asking after him, and pass on our well wishes.

This is everything I know, sorry, I have no more info, and don't like to ask more questions. Maybe someone around Brum could make inquiries and pay him a visit, cheer him up a bit!
