A couple of years ago I was fishing down on the river Lea in Tottenham. There was some 'big do' going on in London with a fly past as part of the show. Then, very low above me, a Lancaster bomber was circling. (they were using the reservoirs and river for navigation). It was so slow, it made you wonder how it was staying up there. And the throbbing noise of those engines.....
