If you are looking for a 16 year old make sure it says 'moped' on the V5 or they'll haver to wait until 17 to use it on the road.
C50LA (automatic 1982-90ish) are all mopeds, as are C50L (single seat 1980-82ish) but the rest are motorcycle registered.
Some pre 1977 normal C50s got accidentally registered as mopeds too, but they weren't supposed to be (I suppose it mattered less when 'peds weren't speed restricted).
