I have just thawed out after an interesting day with the National Autocycle & Cyclemotor Club at their meeting at the Bradford Arms on the A5 north of Wolverhamptom.
Myself and Harry/Notts set off early this morning at a blistering pace down the A38 and onto the A5 at an average speed of 49mph to meet 23 members of the N.A.C.C. before we took part in their equivalent to our Bimbles.
This comprised of a 21 mile ride round the back lanes of South Staffordshire calling in at a fishing lake for lunch.
It was quite a challenge riding at speeds well under what we normally do, so that we'd stay alongside our fellow riders but once we became used to this 18 mph average we both found the whole experience a most entertaining day out.
Besides the rare small engined bikes, there was a contingent of C90's some of which were in MINT condition.
