Not actually on telly (I don't think anyway) but I was interviewed outside a youth hostel in Kent for Cliff Mitchelmore's holiday program back in 1976 when they were doing an article on Youth Hostelling.
I was also filmed in the washroom having a wash - eyes full of soap and just in me pants I became aware of very bright lights and a camera that had appeared from nowhere. "Just act normally" said some eejit who must have been the producer. Those undies had cycled 150 miles in a heat wave and been turned inside out a couple of times so I might not have looked my best.
I think it was always gonna be destined for the cutting room floor
