Hi there Bruce , yep the crankcase breather tube should be kept emptied of any fluid build up ! o.O ! i just pop mine off easily done with pliers on a regular basis due to lot's of rain here so more moisture ! :/ !
For the spark plug & air filter all front & nose panels will need to be removed although i've replaced the plug by removing most panel side retain bolts and gently easing away from frame but you have to be gentle or could crack the panels . Some clean the filter & plug up but @ £6 each or less to replace each i just fit new when i've got it stripped of panels or at least every year although Honda recommend plug after @ 1 year or 5000 miles or 8000kms , air filter replace after 18 month or 7500 miles or 12000km.
If your feeling really energetic and have the panels stripped off you can always have a quick look and claen & polish . Cheers Vk. :) .
