Sambo was a coloured gentleman in the early seventeen hundreds. Some think he was a slave. He arrived on a ship and his master lodged him at the Inn while he took care of business. Sambo thought he had been abandoned and lay down and died. The locals buried him in the corner of a field near the beach. Lovely spot. The road to Sunderland Point is across the salt marsh. Wikepedia has a picture of sambos grave. Through Keighley and up to Arncliffe for a pint at the Falcon yesterday. Was told to f""k o"f by a couple of harley rider's that I waved to. Back home to Wigan via tockholes today. Regards Bob
