The Innova exhausts are a good idea - there will now be a lot of them in rainy/salty UK with exhausts turning to poo now and in the coming years!

Just to be clear on the personal breathalysers in France though: they are not a legal requirement now.
The regulation doesn't come into effect until 1st July 2012; and the French Traffic Ministry has already said (in response to outrage from Froggies) that there will be NO Police stop-and-fine actions until end of October at the earliest..prior to that "advice" on the need to carry one will be given to anyone stopped and found to be not carrying one.

Remember also that the requirement to carry one ONLY applies to cars/vans/lorries etc; it does NOT apply to motorbikes/scooters.(Same as the requirement to carry high-viz vests applies to cars etc in France but not to motorbikes)

The breathalyser must comply with the French testing standard (if it doesn't have "NF" stamped on it, then it doesn't) and it must be in date (they have a two year "life", measured by the date on the packet).

I was up in southern France a couple of weeks ago on tour around Provence, and they are now they already seem to be stocked in every chemist and all the bigger supermarkets.
