C50 year of manufacturing

Hello!
My friend bought a fully restored C50 from Vietnam, but now has an minor issue to register it in Austria as a vintage bike; he knows that the bike was built in 1966 but the included documents do not show this year (the vietnamese blue card show 1999, which is probably some kind of registration date).
Does any of you guy have an idea where to look for information on the year of manufacturing based on the VIN? VIN number is C50YA......
