The original Matlock do's were arranged by Ric & I, they still happen occasionally but are much more ad hoc sporadic events, mainly due to Rics work and domestic commitments, hence the Matlock event in July arranged by Ben relieved the pressure of sorting an event from us, I've thoroughly enjoyed all that I've attended. 
Now, with regard to Rhayader, I'd have loved to be there this year but simply couldn't for two reasons, 1/ I've fairly recently returned to full time work, gone back to my old job and beyond the leave I had pre-booked was unable to book further time off at that point in time, this won't be a problem in future though. The bigger problem is that the date clashed with our local Beer Festival, with which I am involved (not just in the drinking either).
So if the Rhayader weekend is later next year I may well be there too.
