Not sure if I've just been lucky but I've run my Coleman on unleaded for 8 years and other than a tad sootiness occasionally I've had no problems. Ive popped the generator pipe in the ultrasonic cleaner a couple of times though. Best stove I ever saw was at the Great Dorset Steam Show, a little wood burner than could run off twigs, small compact and ferocious.....it wasn't cheap though!
Ps I think it was BC Pete's gloves that generated a fair bit of heat, bit like his backside after a good curry
