A really nice guy. I first met about 2006-7 & he introduced me this board (it had a different name in those days). I attended his funeral this is the write up:-
Boo's Funeral 2nd Aug. 2018
Brian Woodruff & I met Andy Gower, Spikyboy, Matt (Kreecha Honey) & Diddley at Skipton Wetherspoons for the ride into Bacup.
The undertakers was very busy, the footpath was filled with people & bikes. The Cortege left Bacup with 14 bikes leading the hearse with more bikes behind. As we went up the hill I thought I was seeing a ghost, Boo’s bike slowly overtook us with a scruffy looking individual with a long beard (just like he used to have) riding just like Boo. The only difference between him & Boo was that he wasn’t riding one handed taking photos with an Ebay camera & the bike was clean.
It was a sunny afternoon & as the cortege came over the hill towards Burnley the landscape unfolded to reveal a beautiful valley with Pendle Hill in the background. A fitting scene for Boo’s last ride, no wonder Boo loved Bacup.
At Burnley Crematorium someone said there must be about 200 people, I agree & many Cubbers were there. I think that I got them all (except me) in my photos. Everybody couldn’t fit inside the Chapel so the service was relayed to outside by a large TV on the wall.
It was nice to see everyone & a fitting tribute to Boo who in my opinion was a great bloke who epitomised the very best in our type of biking.
He was taken too early & will be sadly missed by us all, what a bloody shame.
