Bike running sliggish

Guys after a full top end rebuild and upgrade oil pump on my 12v c90 round headlight i've now done a steady 400 miles and i'm now starting to open the throttle a little more aggressive and looking for a top speed atm im only looking at approx 42 mph :/ :/

Before the rebuild it was a consistent 52 mph easy so what are your thoughts please ???

My feeling are that the bike feels restricted somehow ?? i also replaced the exhaust with a gen honda at the same time.

I have read/heard somewhere that if the bike is running sluggish then its possible to improve the performance by adjusting the timing so the "0" is 1 tooth above the static timing mark on the outer engine casing but tbh i can't find these details again so im not sure about it

My other thoughts are whilst i opened the oil hole in the bottom casing to 2mm would this cause any restriction in the engine if the hole is not big enough ???

i recently looked at air filter and cannot find any issue "visually" to the filter so im open to suggestions Thanks in advance guys ;) ;) ;)
