I thought it might be useful to peeps if I broke down my thread on Scruffs new engine into separate topics. This one most people probably already know, but just in case, here goes. Pinching the primary gears from Big Mig to fit to Scruffs new engine left Big Mig under geared. The easiest and cheapest remedy for this was to fit a larger engine sprocket. Big Mig had a 16T sprocket; the largest that can be fitted to Cub 90 style engines without the chain rubbing the casing is 17T. I’ve attached a pic of the 16 and 17T sprockets in place. The JT sprockets code if you are using a standard 420 chain is: JTF253.17.
