Hi Diddly,
I have been watching this thread with some interest...
The Lidl flip-face helmet looks like the Caberg in basic design, and the flip up does snap into the upright position (however I don't think it locks). I am glad it has come to light the difference between the Caberg and all the other lids, as I have been wondering since this thread started.
After France mine might well be going back as the clips on one side don't seem to locate properly unless it is closed very carefully. This is caused by the little rotating clips not springing right back under spring tension (I found I have to give them a little help with my thumb).
That said if it free's up I will keep it.
