1975 Honda C50 6v Crankcase Pressure

Hello guys - I have a Honda C50 which I took the engine casings off to respray silver and since I have fitted them I have very bad engine crankcase pressure. The pressure relief vavle is clear and working, a genuine Honda gasket was fitted, and there was no old gasket that went inside the engine. The engine runs fine, but then starts to choke up. If you undo the oil dipstick it releases the pressure and pushes the oil out. If I run the engine with the dipstick resting on the casing it's fine. On my engine it has not got the engine breather tube on the back. Any idea please guys would be very much appreciated as it was working fine before I took the casings off. Forgot to mention that I cleaned out the oil filter in the centrifugal clutch and fitted a new oil filter gauze which was genuine Honda. Thanks again. Tony from East Sussex.
