Lets be quite clear. Jim doesn't like being lied to. I'm far too old to have smoke blown up my arse. And I'm not given to re-writing history.
Amies beef with me is that after last Matlock, I got complaints (at least three) about the behaviour of a few people, one in particular who's name has cropped up many times.
I was at a loss as to what to do if anything. What has become clear is that quite a few people are staying away because of the actions of a few, and that concerns me.
I spoke to several people and got a good picture of what had gone on.
I decided the best thing to do was speak to the four main people concerned, with the sole intention of making them aware, that good folk were staying away simply because of the behaviour of a few, no more.
Amies name wasn't mentioned.
Behind the scenes possibly in one of the admin discussions either on the FB page or the forum, which Amie was privvy to I said that ultimately all we could do was to exclude people from the forum, or the FB page if it cane to it.
Amie called me out of the blue, and tried to tell me that none of it had happened. That people hadn't been driving around the campsite with people on the roof of a car, or that a bike hadn't been ridden around the campsite with no exhaust, or that an oil slick had been left in the road outside the Aquarium, and oil on the campsite.
Amie was adamant in our phone conversation, NONE of this happened.
Which was strange, because a few people all saying the same thing said it had.
Further, I suggested it was down to drink.
Amie took great pains to tell me that the main perp was very religious, had God, and was tea total.
Later Amie said that she thought it was down to drink. She didn't like me pointing out that she had told me the main offender NEVER drank.
I've then had a tirade of abuse about being controlling, that 'she wasn't going to let me intimidate her!' etc etc.
The bottom line is she involved herself, with the sole intention of blowing smoke up my arse, and I was having none of it.
It's a real shame this has to be made public, but the truth has to be told.
And the same with Barmouth. It most certainly WAS organised as an alternative to Rhayader, with the intention of moving on and leaving the baggage of Rhayader behind.
CubStig - Russ, what's your beef? You took me to task over my views on the islamisation of Britain taking place, which greatly concerns me, (Britain WILL be a muslim country by 2050 - Office for National Statistics official figures) and views I air on my FB page, but endeavour to keep off the M/C forums, and you then 'unfriended' me on FB. Fair enough. Maybe you ought to be down at Folkestone doing a cheery meet and greet as people emerge from the tunnel. Maybe cash in a bike or two and share your wealth too eh? Whatever, a real shame you feel the need to chip in.
