If I remember correctly, on previous occasions when there has been a threat to fuel supplies there was an initial panic buy, followed by a lull because people aren't actually using all that fuel and don't need any for another week or so.

Petrol demand has risen up by 81% over the last few days, but the price of fuel these days they aren't going use it any quicker.

So fingers crossed the forecourts will be quite over the Matlock weekend
