Hi Pete,
Sorry to hear you can't make the Matlock meet because of work commitments.

I know you've spoke of another meet up with the Notts/Lincs lads and myself sometime this year and I was wondering if you would be interested in a Bimble up your way. I've not spoken to Harry or Vic about it yet, but I was thinking maybe a weekend outing something along these lines.

Friday Myself and whoever's interested riding up to a campsite somewhere west of Newcastle. (I've stayed at one in Castleside nr Consett in 2007 which was very nice but no nearby pub so might not be ideal)

Saturday You and your posse come over and meet us, then have a ride up through Northumberland National Park and into Scotland (border control permitting)

Sunday Ride out to Hartside cafe on A686 through Stanhope/Rookhope/Allenheads/Coalcleugh/Nenthead/Alston. I cycled the C2C in 2007 with my sons and we did this route so I remember the roads a bit. After this we would head home southwards.

Let me know if you're at all interested + any pointers on other campsites would be good. Don't know what month yet obviously there are always some dates when folk can't get, but if we start planning early we might sort something out.
