I would definitely like to come to Rhayader, I was planning on going last year and got all the camping stuff (haven't camped for years) but then my old chickenchaser got stolen and I got hopelessly tangled up with docs and gamma rays. Thing is, it is a long way to go on the C90 especially with my health the way it is so I may have to come without a bike. Although maybe I should hire a Harley for a week, the local shop is supposed to do hires.

The one good thing about being given a 'sell by date' is you get to cash in your entire private pension fund. Mine wasn't terribly big but it why I managed to buy an upmarket 'invalid scooter' ie my Merc SLK230 and the new Pox.

BTW I have fixed all the wee problems on the Merc, replaced a heating valve and the electrrics/pump for the remote locking. I shall be leaving the car to my wee sis so I want it to be perfect and the big job still remains. A complete respray, but I want a really good job done. The only real rust is on the wings (one of the reasons I bought this one as it told me the wings were original so it hadn't been in a shunt) just a few little chips elsewhere. I am thinking of changing the colour from silver to Jaguar E-Type green. It will probably be the only SLK in that colour in the UK.

Does anyone know of a really good specialist who will prep for rust treatment and respray and do a really good job in Scotland or the north of England

I am still not getting images to work all the time, sometimes I can add an image and sometimes I just get the URL showing. Frustration.

The image shows a paint job in progress, I am trying to get the highlighting correct but the passenger door and rear wing are more or less complete and give a good idea how it will look in green.
