And yes I have had my clogs on all day today. Anyway, have also been finishing this winters ferret central heating system. I think it must be without doubt the poshest heating unit ever installed into a ferrets bed. The top is a polished brass plate to which is bolted a 10w wire wound 33ohm resistor. According to the multimeter this is chucking out 4.7watts from its 12v supply. Plenty for the coldest winter weather when its deep in blankets and with three hefty ferrets lying on top of it. As I wrote that last sentence i reached a toe over and burnt it on the heater... way too hot. (am roadtesting this in bed tonight before installing it tomorrow) Have knocked it down to 9v. Ouch. If anyone is planning any winter touring then this technology is directly transferrable. Regards and sleep well. Bob.
