Take off the leg shields or if you can get to the top of the carb without taking them off.Try pulling the throttle cable up from the carb this should raise the revs let it go and if the revs die immediately then its your cable or hand grip thats sticky.
If not its either your slider sticking due to gunge or scoring or its air leaks.
