Just thought I'd chime in with my 2p on the Riders cub.
Mines been on the road about 5 weeks now and 1400kms done.
Build quality seems ok, obviously it's not up to Honda standards but it's not shocking either - for £695 brand new delivered you can't complain. The paint isn't as thick, the metal for brackets etc not as sturdy, but everything does the job it's intended to do. Apart from the tyres, they're shit.
Yes, for the same money you could get a second hand cub, but I wanted a brand new bike that hadn't had any previous owners messing with it!
You also don't have an MOT for three years and get a wider rear wheel and bigger front brake, single seat and rack.
I think the performance is on par with a decent C90. As has been said the seat and shocks are hard, and the switchgear doesn't feel as sturdy, but it hasn't broken yet... Good headlight too.
It's almost worth the purchase price alone to annoy the people that write them off as 'crap' without trying them.
I plan on doing as many miles as possible on mine to really give it a test. I might even clean it in spring.
