Inappropriate or SPAM?

Took 90 out for a run, noticed rear tyre is 3/4 worn after 3,000 miles. It's a cheap Viva make. Is this reasonable wear?
Thinking of replacing with a catspaw tread on the rear... is a 275 or 300 viable on a standard bike/rim?
