Just spent an enjoyable morning in the polytunnel engineering an irrigation system from a 25 metre coil of plastic plumbing pipe bought from the junk market for a fiver. Am now in the pub drinking £2 a pint fosters and eating two Galloways pies. Chatting to a mate yesterday in his pub........ he's off to Matienzo in spain for a couple. of weeks exploring a new cave. They are running short of bolts so hes taking a bagfull. He was telling me about a mate of his who is diong a maritime tour of the Hebrides this summer in a Canadian canoe fitted with an inboard motor and outriggers. Ive been thinking for a while that a 90 motor with perhaps the electrics driving a cooling fan would be fun in a canoe.
