Scruff had sort of reached the end of his development, but with people begining to fit Z155, YX160's and even Daytona 190 engines, I decided it was time to increase Scruffs power, whilst retaining his identity as a cruncher, so the semi auto 142cc engine remains unchanged, but now has a downdraft Weber carburettor. Just as I hoped, the performance was significantly increased, but now the air filter stuck out through the leg shields and is deafening, and the carb runs the risk of boiling in the summer. I realised that in my pursuit of the most powerfull semi auto C70 in the country, I had created a bike I no longer liked as much as I used too. I think it was at this point I lost my Mojo. I built an awsome little 113cc engine which shares much in common with a standard Cub90 engine, and fitted it to Big Mig, and wheeled Scruff into the shed where he has stayed since. It breaks my heart, and I hope that one day my mojo will return and I will find my direction with Scruff again. Cheri misses Scruff dreadfully, me too :0(
